Why we started Thrive Hive ABA

Our journey began with a deep understanding of both sides of ABA, the clinical fieldwork and the administrative operations. After years of working for multiple companies, we noticed a troubling pattern: many agencies promised “quality in-home services” but failed to deliver on that commitment.

Background checks were often rushed or skipped entirely. Staff turnover was high because Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) weren’t being properly interviewed, supported, or retained. Families reported they felt like part of a quota, and staff shared frustrations about being mistreated or undervalued.

There were moments I sat at my desk in tears, knowing the system wasn’t working the way it should. That experience lit the fire to do things differently.
